OBIT – Guadalupe Mercado

ALTON – Guadalupe Mercado, 102, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at her home.

Survivors include her daughters, Maria Olivia Mercado of Alton and Dolores Garza of Mission, and five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilario Mercado, and son, Alberto Mercado.

A funeral mass was held on Feb. 3 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
