OBIT – Cecilia Shillair

MISSION – Cecilia Shillair, 88, passed away on March 2, 2017, in Mission.

Mrs. Shillair was born on Feb. 25, 1929, in Tawas, Mich., to Leonard and Meline Bouchard. She married Robert Horner, who preceded her in death in 1954 and then married Virgil Shillair on Sept. 5, 1959, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2008.

Survivors include her children, Norman A. Horner and Ellen L. Kozlowski; sister, Phyllis Walraven; and 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Gayle R. Horner and Bonnie J. Johnson; grandchildren, Anita and Jeffrey Johnson and Adam Horner; and brothers, Joseph and Harold Bouchard.

Her remains were cremated. Burial of ashes will be held on Monday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
