OBIT – Joe Martinez

MISSION – Joe A. Martinez, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017, in San Antonio.

Mr. Martinez was born and raised in Mission. He attended Mission High School and The University of Texas-Pan American.

Survivors include his father, Esequiel Martinez; three brothers and five sisters.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial follows at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to charities supporting needy families or animal rescue.
