PALMVIEW – Josefa Flores Esquivel Villarreal, 87, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Doctors Hospital in Edinburg.
Mrs. Villarreal was born in San Isidro Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on Nov. 12, 1929, to Jose Flores and Tomasita Esquivel. She came to the United States in 1950 and married Eduardo Villarreal from Ojo De Agua, which is now Abram. They moved to Palmview in 1963 where they raised 12 children – six sons and six daughters.
Survivors include their children, Eduardo Jr., Leonel, Guillermo, Ruben, Guadalupe, Virginia, Jesusa, Esperanza, Josefina and Graciela; sister, Aurora Rodriguez; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eduardo Villarreal; sons, Baldmar and Alejandro Villarreal; grandchildren, Leonel Villarreal Jr. and Jimmie Alaniz; and siblings, Santos Flores, Jesus Flores, Teresita Flores, Ziola Flores and Leona Tovar.
