OBIT – Dallas Blagg Jr.

MISSION – Dallas Blagg Jr., 78, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017.   

Mr. Blagg was born in San Antonio on Nov. 12, 1938, to Dallas Blagg Sr. and Lorette Dubose Blagg and grew up with his sister, Tina, on the family’s sugar cane farm near El Naranjo, Mexico.

He attended the Schreiner Institute and graduated from Southwest Texas State Teachers College with bachelor’s degrees in business and Spanish literature. He went on to teach high school Spanish for several years before selling textbooks and later farm machinery in various countries in South America and in Mexico. He later returned to growing sugar cane on the family farm.

Survivors include his children Ali, Elena and Tara Blagg and Sacha Miller.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Reeta Mahmud Blagg.

A graveside service was held on June 3 at San Jose Cemetery.
