OBIT – Encarnacion Olivarez

MISSION – Encarnacion Olivarez, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Pax Villa Hospice in McAllen.

Mrs. Olivarez was born on March 25, 1930, in Edinburg to the late Juan and Alfonsa (Camero) Hernandez.

Survivors include her children, Gilberto Olivarez Jr., Hermelinda Trejo and Elisa Trejo; siblings, Amelia Aguilar, Mary Ellen De La Garza and Frank Hernandez; and 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto Olivarez, and two brothers and six sisters.

A funeral mass was held on July 25 at St. John of the Fields Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Rivera Funeral Home in Mission was in charge of the arrangements.
