OBIT – Maria Garza

MISSION – Maria Celina Garza, 82, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her children, Jose Gerardo Garza of Mission, Rosalinda Espronceda of Monterrey, and Jaime Garza and Judge Luis Garza, both of Mission; sister, Martha Garcia de Galindo of Monterrey; and 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Humberto Garza; sons, Humberto Garza Jr. and Rene Garza; and siblings, Maria de Leal, Juan Garcia, Jesus Garcia, Maria Garcia, Juan Garcia and Alberto Garcia.

A funeral mass was held on Oct. 9 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.

Serving as pallbearers were Benito Garza, Cody De La Garza, Clint De La Garza, Bo Garza, Rene Garza Jr. and Gerardo Espronceda Jr.
