OBIT – Francisca Salazar

MISSION – Francisca Salazar, 77, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017.

Mrs. Salazar was born on Dec. 3, 1939, in General Bravo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Jose Maria and Maria Trinidad (Martinez) Garza.

Survivors include her sons, Juan Salazar Jr. of Mission, Joe Salazar of Mission, Jaime Salazar of Mission, Javier Salazar of Mission and Jesus Salazar of San Antonio; siblings, Tomas Garza of Monterrey, Oscar Garza of San Juan, Jose Garza of Pharr, Mari De Jesus Garza of Monterrey, Inez Garza of McAllen and San Juana Garza of San Juan; and 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her great-grandson, J.J. Salazar III.

A funeral mass was held on Oct. 27 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Arrangements were under the care of Rivera Funeral Home in Mission.
