PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS, THAT:

The City Council of The City of Palmview, Texas will hold a public hearing on November 29, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mission West Resort; 511 East Loop 374 Mission, Texas, to consider Annexation. The Public is invited to attend.

The City of Palmview, Texas proposes to institute annexation proceedings to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of said city to include the following described territory, to-wit:

Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot 1, Block 4, Del Monte Orchard Co. Subdivision No. 1 (Vol. 5, Pg. 25, Map Records) same being the centerline of Scott Lane; Thence, in a Westerly direction along the South Line of the said lot 1 and 2, block 4, and the North Line of Monte Bonito Subdivision (Vol 38, Pg. 160 Map Records), to the centerline of Starling Drive; Thence, in a Southerly direction along the centerline of Starling Drive to the Southeast Corner of the Green Gate Grove Subdivision ( Vol. 24, Pg. 46 Map Records); Thence, in a Westerly direction along the South line of said Green Gate Grove Subdivision and the North Line of lot 42, Bentsen Grove Subdivision addition “E” (Vol. 8, Pg. 6, Map Records), to the intersection and the Centerline of Bentsen Palm Drive; Thence, in a Northerly Direction with the Centerline of Bentsen Palm Drive, and the West line of said Green Gate Grove Subdivision, and the West lines of Canadiana Estates Subdivision(Vol. 21 Pg. 110, Map Records) and four sure all right subdivision (Vol. 20 Pg. 126, Map Records), to the Northeast Corner of the said four sure All Right Subdivision; Thence, in a Westerly direction along the North Line of said Four Sure All Right Subdivision and the South line of the Lamplight Mobile Home Subdivision (Vol. 22 Pg.195, Map Records), To the intersection with the centerline of Watson Road; Thence, in a Southerly Direction along the centerline of Watson Road, to its intersection with the North Line of Sotira Estates Subdivision, (Vol. 23, Pg. 20 map Records);Thence, in a Westerly direction along the North line of the said Sotira Estates Subdivision passing the Northwest corner of the said subdivision, and continuing along the extended North line of the said Sotira Estates Subdivision, and across the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tract (TR 442) to its intersection with the centerline of East Goodwin Road; Thence, in a Southerly direction along the centerline of East Goodwin Road, to the Southeast corner of Lot 10, same being the Northeast corner of Lot 7, Block2, out of the Goodwin Track Subdivisions No. 1 and No. 2 (Vol. 8, Pg. 3. Subdivision (Vol. 5, PG. 25, Map Records); Thence, In a Easterly Direction along the common line of Lot 1 and 2 to a point being an apparent east line of the 1972 Palmview City Limit Line; Thence, In a Northeasterly Direction across Lot 1 Del Monte Orchard Co. Subdivision and across U.S. Business Highway 83, and the east line of lot 16, west Highway Subdivision, (Vol. 15, PG 40, Map Records) to the northeast corner of the said lot 16; Thence, In an Easterly Direction along the said south line of the Edinburg Main Canal, and north line of U.S. Business Highway 83 to its intersecting point with the centerline of Scott Lane; Thence, In an Southerly Direction along the centerline of Scott Lane to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
