The Mission Baccalaureate Committee presents the 2018 Baccalaureate Ceremony on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 7pm, following student processional at 6:45 at the Mission Neuhaus Gym.
The ceremony, a one-hour religious service to honor the graduating class, will have Father Augostino Torres as its distingueshed speaker.
Torres, originally from South Texas, has been working in active ministry within the church mostly with youth, the poor and the pro-life movement.
Torres helped establish and serves at St. Anthony Shelter for Renewal, a night shelter for NYC’s homeless. He also works with the Catholic Underground, a cultural apostolate of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal for young adults, built around evenings of adoration, music, poetry, visual art, dance, film, and drama that begin and end with prayer. He has also worked as a missionary with youth and young adults in Central America, Europe and the United States.
The community is both invited and encouraged to attend this event.
