OBITUARY – Angelina Acevedo

MISSION – Angelina Garza Acevedo, 81, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019.

Mrs. Acevedo was born in Rio Grande City to Alfredo and Elvira Garza and married her high school sweetheart Ezequiel Acevedo Sr. After high school she was hired by the City of Mission, where she worked for 40 years. She was a member of El Mesias United Methodist Church in Mission.

Survivors include her sons, Ezequiel Jr. and Daniel Acevedo; siblings, Eduardo Garza, Alfredo Garza Jr., and Elida Garza Rodriguez; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years and her parents.

A funeral service was held on Feb. 6 at El Mesias. Burial followed at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission
