OBITUARY – Jose Escobar

PALMVIEW – Jose Luis Escobar, 63, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission.

Mr. Escobar was born in Roma on Oct. 30, 1955, to Hilda and Jose Angel Escobar.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Elia Escobar; children, Jeanette Villarreal, Jose Escobar Jr. and Christina Gonzalez; siblings, Elvia Alvarez, Rosalba Garcia, Anabel Inocencio, Artemio Escobar and Jose Angel Escobar; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel and Hilda Escobar.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Peñitas. Burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
