7 more people in Hidalgo County Test Positive for COVID-19

Seven more people in Hidalgo County tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, bringing the total number of positive cases to 242 people according to a news release from the county.

Meanwhile, three more people were released from isolation meaning they have shown no symptoms for ten days or had a fever in the last three days. That brings the total number of people released from isolation to 45.

28 people are in area hospitals with COVID-19 related illnesses and six of them are in intensive care units, the release stated.

Each of the seven people testing positive, as well as members of their household, have been ordered to isolate themselves.

    When a person tests positive, what period of time do they generally manage the infection if they are not hospitalized?

    And, when tested, how long is it taking for results to come back to the individual?
