Six new cases of COVID-19 were reported Wednesday in Hidalgo County, bringing the total number of cases to 359 officials said.
The county also reported a total of 5,564 COVID-19 tests being administered, and one individual released from isolation after showing no symptoms for 10 days and no fever for three days. This brings the total number released to 216 people resulting in 136 active cases of COVID-19.
“I believe we will continue to see a decline in the rate of infection — as long as we remain cautious, including staying at home and avoiding crowds,” Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez said.
The numbers of those hospitalized with complications related to the virus remains steady at 13 with three of them in intensive care units, the release stated.
