Starr County sees 15th COVID-19 case
A sixth member of a Roma family tested positive for COVID-19 late Monday night, bringing the total amount of cases in the county to 15.
The unidentified man is part of the same Roma household where five family members had tested positive for COVID-19 last week.
“This is a travel related case, we believe this individual is the one who first got COVID-19 while he was working in the oil fields in Midland and then spread it to the rest of the household,” Jose Vasquez, Starr County Health Authority said.
Of the 15 cases in Starr County, seven were cleared for release last month.
