Houston-based church group providing free meals in Mission

A Houston-based church group church group will be offering hundreds of free meals in Mission later today for those seeking relief from the aftermath of Hurricane Hanna.

The Southern Baptists of texas Convention will be at Mission’s Lions Park-located at 1400 E. Kika de la Garza Loop- to distribute free warm meals to the public starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The church group will be providing the meals through 6 p.m., or until the meals run out.

The meals are free and open to the public. No forms of ID are required, according to a spokeswoman with the city of Mission.
