The City of Mission will conduct two (2) public hearings to solicit comments from interested residents and agencies for the Community Development Block Grant- Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program. Due to declared severe flooding in 2015 and 2016, the City of Mission is eligible to submit a grant application to the Texas General Land Office for mitigation projects. Under the 2015 CDBG-MIT program, the City will be submitting a $10,000,000 grant application for the following drainage rehabilitation projects: Stewart, Glasscock, Shary, & Sunset. Under the 2016 CDBG-MIT program, the City will be submitting a $10,000,000 grant application for the following drainage rehabilitation projects: Gabriel, Spikes, Jupiter, Guadalupe, & Stonegate. Comments received will be considered for preparation of the grant applications. Interested parties are encouraged to attend this virtual hearing and make their views known. These funds are expected to benefit low/moderate income areas.
