COVID-19 hospitalizations increase, 7 more deaths reported

The total amount of reported COVID-19 cases crossed the 48,000 threshold Tuesday as the county reported 447 new cases of the disease.

With the new numbers, the total amount of reported COVID-19 cases now stands at 48,009, according to a news release from the county.

The county also reported seven more COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the COVID-19 fatality tally to 2,137.

The county also reported the amount of residents being treated for COVID-19 related complications now stands at 249, an increase of 32 patients from the previous day. 89 of those residents are being treated in intensive care units, an increase of nine patients from the previous day.
