SAN ANTONIO – Ruben Abdon Ortiz Sr., 73, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on December 26, 1947 in Mission, Texas, to Antonia Reina and Abdon O
rtiz.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 50 years, Martha G. Ortiz; children, Machelle, Ruben Jr., Monica, Myrea and Joseph; siblings, Issabell Villareal, Yolanda Godsey and Jose Ortiz; grandchildren, Ruben III, Nadine; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and precious friends.
Ruben is remembered for so much, but, above all, his happy smile, his infinite heart, his immense love and adoration for his wife, and starting his days with thanking the Lord for the new day.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 SE Military Dr. in San Antonio. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio.
