April 17 – Casa Om Yoga will be leading Brewseum Yoga & Beer at the International Museum of Art & Science from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Yoga passes are $30 and include a collectible towel for the class with drinks from Four Corners Brewing Co. Bring a mat for the session and view the IMAS art galleries following the class. Tickets are on sale at https://brew-seum.com or by calling 956-681-2800 during business hours. IMAS member benefits include discounts to Brew-seum events. Everyone attending must be 21 years or older to attend. IMAS is located at 1900 W. Nolana, McAllen.

April 22 – The Friends of Quinta Mazatlán is planning a 15th anniversary celebration at the annual Moon over Mazatlán gala fundraising event. Taking on a quinceanera theme, it will feature the Golden Guitar Trio, UTRGV Folkloric Dancers and the Latin VIBE dinner show. For more information, call 956-681-3370. Current health protocols will be in effect for the safety of the patrons.

April 22-24 – The Edinburg World Birding Center presents the Decomposition Timeline Trail from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to learn how single-use plastic items utilized daily for convenience can last longer than a lifetime on. The trail will be open during regular business hours, and participation is free with regular park admission. The EWBC is at 714 Raul Longoria Rd. Call 956-381-9922 for information.

April 23 – Youth can join the International Museum of Art & Science’s STEAM virtual program “Afterschool Adventures with IMAS” to celebrate Earth Day with two sessions. In the Kinder to 5th grade workshop at 3 p.m., participants will create a nature mobile, and the 6th to 12th grade workshop at 4 p.m., they will create a leaf lantern. Each program offers free workshop kits for participating children that include activity supplies and extra treats. Learners can pursue topics in depth and explore their interests in these Afterschool Adventures throughout the year. Go to theimasonline.org to sign up.

April 24-25 – The public is invited to the two-day San Benito Food Court Festival with a variety of food vendors selling their delicacies along the shores of the city’s resaca at 705 N. Bowie St. The event is complete with outdoor music and runs from 12 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, go to cityofsanbenito.com.
