RGV Border Patrol Arrests MS-13 gang member, two criminal migrants

EDINBURG (4/22/21) – Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member, a migrant previously convicted of attempted capital murder in Virginia, and a sex offender.


Yesterday morning, April 21, Fort Brown Border Patrol Station (FTB) agents apprehended a group of six migrants near Brownsville. Record checks revealed one noncitizen, an El Salvadoran national, is a MS-13 gang member. The migrant was previously removed from the United States in 2018.
This morning, April 22, McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents working near Hidalgo, apprehended several migrants after they illegally entered the United States. The group was transported to the station where records checks revealed that one noncitizen, a Honduran national, had been previously arrested by the Richmond City, Va., police department for attempted capital murder. The undocumented noncitizen was subsequently sentenced to five years confinement.

Today, MCS agents arrested a noncitizen near Abram. Records checks revealed that a female noncitizen from Nicaragua had been previously convicted of sex abuse of a minor.
Both subjects were processed accordingly.
