PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Alton will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall Legislative Chambers located at 509 S. Alton Boulevard to consider the following request:

REZONE REQUEST:

The City of Alton, is requesting to rezone two tracts at 317 & 401 North Bryan Boulevard, Alton, Hidalgo County, Texas, from “AG” Agriculture District to “MF” Multi Family Low Density District as legally described as follows:

Tract I: being a 1.94 acres tract, more or less, being part of or coming out of the north 132 ft. of Lot 41-10, West Addition to Sharyland Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas.

Tract II: being a 1.18 acres tract, more or less, being part of or coming out of the north 210 ft. of Lot 41-10, West Addition to Sharyland Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas.

REZONE REQUEST:

Trevino Engineering on behalf of Jesus Cabello, owner, is requesting to rezone a Tract at 501 South Glasscock Boulevard, Alton, Hidalgo County, Texas:

Tract: being a 22.279 acre tract of land more or less, out of Lot 392, John H. Shary Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas, requesting an “R-2” (Single Family Residential – Standard Lots) District.

REZONE REQUEST:

Aaron Balli, owner, is requesting to rezone at 515 North Bryan Boulevard, Alton, Hidalgo County, Texas, from “AG” Agriculture District to “D” Duplex/Fouplex District as legally described as follows:

Tract: being a 5.0 acres of the South 10.0 acres of Lot 42-10, West Addition to Sharyland Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing or file written support for or opposition to this application by 12:00 noon on May 25, 2021, for the Planning and Zoning and the City Commission.
