The Mission City Council will hold a Regular Meeting on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. at the Mission Council Chambers, 1201 E. 8th Street, Mission, Texas and by Teleconference in order to consider the following:

Rezoning: 10.0 acres out of Lot 30-10, West Addition to Sharyland, and the previously United Irrigation District canal right-of-way, from (AO-I) Agricultural Open Interim to (R-1A) Large Lot Single Family

Rezoning: All of Lots 11, 12, and 13, Ala Blanca Subdivision, from (R-1) Single Family Residential to (C-3) General Business

Rezoning: All of Lot 10, Block 106, Original Townsite, from (R-1) Single Family Residential to (C-3) General Business

Rezoning: A 17.95 acre tract of land, more or less, out of Lot 11-1, West Addition to Sharyland Subdivision, from (AO-I) Agricultural Open Interim to (P) Public

Discussion and Action to Amend the Noise Ordinance

Discussion and Action to Amend Appendix A Zoning Regulations, Section 1.361 “AO-P Permanent Open Space District” to Provide the Foundation for Possible Transition into Suitable Development Upon Provision of an In-Depth Engineering Drainage Analysis

Discussion and Action to Amend Sections 110-461 ‘Required’ & Section 110-468 ‘Paving Standards’ of Chapter 10, Traffic and Vehicles, Article VIII, Division 4 Off Street Parking Regulations Providing for Perpetual Maintenance of said Paved Parking Improvements with its Appurtenant and Necessary Features

Discussion and Action to Amend Inspections and Planning Fees

Discussion and Possible Action on Ordinance Establishing a Process to Assess and Resolve Building Setbacks, Inclusive of a Contingency Protocol

Discussion and Action to Adopt an Ordinance to Regulate Short-Term Rentals, Airbnb (Vacation Rentals, Homes, Experiences & Places) and VBRO (Vacation Rentals by Owner)

Discussion and Action to Amend Section 110-375 ‘Parking for Certain Purposes’ of Chapter 10 – Traffic and Vehicles, Article VIII, Division 1, of the City of Mission’s Code of Ordinances, to Hereafter include the prohibition of parking private vehicles in public parking lot spaces for certain purposes. Prohibited parking by private vehicles on city-owner property includes, but not limited to, overnight, non-business hours or weekend parking.
