- Maestro Peter Dabrowski leading the next Valley Symphony Orchestra concert will be a 70th anniversary celebration as Maestro Peter Dabrowski and the orchestra musicians celebrate with a performance featuring Ravel’s bold and beautiful “Bolero.” The VSOwelcomes cellist Daniel Saenz who began his music career with the VSO and now teaches and performs across the country. It begins at 8 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center, 801 Convention Center Blvd. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at valleyorchestra.org/event or by calling the VSO office at 956-661-1615, Monday through Friday between 12 and 5 p.m.
- The final performance of the UTRGV Cello Festival, featuringall cello ensembles begins at 5 p.m. begins at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex, 1201 W. University Dr., Edinburg. Admission is free for the that performance. It is followed by the final performance featuring Mike Block and Sandeep Das at 7 p.m. Sandeep Das (tabla) & Mike Block (cello/vocals) are a cross-genre duo that originally met as members of Yo-Yo Ma’s Grammy award-winning Silkroad Ensemble. Featuring a combination of the tabla, a pair of Indian drums used in Hindustani Classical Music, cello, and vocals, this energetic duo has been sharing their music throughout America and India via tours and residencies since 2013. Admission is $10 or $5 for seniors and students. Tickets will be sold at the box office one hour before the performance.

- The 17th Brownsville Guitar Festival takes place at the TSC Performing Arts Center, 90 Taylor Ave. in Brownsville. The UTRGV School of Music, in collaboration with the Brownsville Society for the Performing Arts, will host clinics, concerts, and master classes as part of the 17th Brownsville Guitar Festival. - The Mission First United Methodist Church will a host a magic show as a fundraiser featuring entertainer and magician Ace Astry. Suitable for all ages, it will be staged at the church, located at 1101 Doherty in Mission, at 2 p.m. The $7 admission includes the show, along with a dessert and beverage. - The award winning and nationally recognized UTRGV Mariachi Aztlán performs in a varied concert showcasing the best of Mexican folk music, from romantic boleros to the exuberant sones from Jalisco. It begins at 3 p.m. at the TSC Performing Arts Center, 90 Taylor Ave., Brownsville. Admission is $5; tickets will be sold at the box office one hour before the performance.
- The UTRGV School of Music presents Jonathan Borja, flute, and Alfredo Solano, piano,in a concert featuring Latin American composers. It begins at 2 p.m. at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex, 1201 W. University Dr., Edinburg.
- Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winners Jesse & Joy bring their “Cliches World Tour”to the McAllen Perofrming Arts Center for a 7:30 p.m. show. Also performing will be Little Jesus and Chule. Ticket prices range from $24 to $115 and can be found at jesseyjoy.com or ticketmaster.

- The Valley Symphony Orchestra, under the direction Maestro Peter Dabrowski, will present the music of Star Wars in its season finale concert.
