May 21 & 31

  • The City of McAllen invites the public to discover McAllen’s cultural heritage on a bus tour of historic city sites and landmarks on one of two trolley tours. Space is limited and registration is required. May 21, the tour runs from 10 to 11 a.m., and on May 31, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Departure is at the McAllen Development Center, 311 N. 15th St. Registration form must be completed at https://bit.ly/mcallentour. May 22

  • The Rio Grande Youth Symphony at UTRGV will perform at 5 p.m. at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex, 1201 W. University Dr. in Edinburg. The $5 general admission tickets will be sold in person at the box office, one hour before the performance.

June 4-5

  • The UTRGV Ballet Folkloric presents Ouroboros: Re-Imagining Mexican Folk Dance on at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and for a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex, 1201 W.   • A combined production by UTRGV’s Alumni Company and Ballet Folkloric join their talents for Legends 2022 to be staged at the Performing Arts Complex, 1201 W. University Dr., Edinburg. The Saturday production begins at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
