Public Notice- City of Alton (Rezone Request)


The City of Alton will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall Legislative Chambers located at 509 S. Alton Boulevard to consider the following request:

A & J Development, LLC, Miguel Barboza, owner, is requesting a Rezone a Tract at 3505 E. Main Avenue, from “C-2” (General Commercial) and “R-2” (single family residential – standard Lot) Districts to “MF-1” (multi-family low density) District as legally described as follows; 

Tract: being a 7.53 acre, more or less, out of the 10.81 acres of the west 22.41 acres of Lot 413, John H. Shary Subdivision, Alton, Hidalgo County, Texas, recorded in Volume 1, Page 17, HCMR.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing or file written support for or opposition to this application by 12:00 noon on October 25, 2022, for the Planning and Zoning and the City Commission.
