October 20 – The Idea Public Schools annual dinner and auction fundraiser, “Reach for the Stars,” begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Mission Events Center, 200 N. Shary Rd. The black-tie formal event features a complimentary valet service and music along with the dinner and auction – all followed by an after party. Sponsorships range from $2,500 to $50,000. November 4 – The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce annual “Noche de Gala” will be held at the Kalos Event Center, 1516 E. Expressway 83, Mission. The event highlights business honorees and includes a dinner, dance and silent and live auction items. Funds raised benefit the RGVHCC which is primarily funded through the membership dues, corporate partners and events like this.
