Pharr- Erasmo Rivera, 83, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 3. He was born and raised in Pharr Texas on November 25, 1939.

Erasmo was preceded in death by his parents Manuel & Severiana Rivera; his sisters Raquel R. Camacho and Guadalupe R. Enriquez.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years,  Elvira Flores Rivera; his brother Manuel Rivera Jr.; his children Robert Rivera, Rene (Lisa Rodriguez) Rivera, Becky (Joe) Ocanas, his grandchildren; Eddie Rivera, Alex Rivera, Priscilla Rivera, Kristina Ocanas, Kassandra Ocanas, Daniel Ocanas, Erick Ybarra, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Erasmo worked as an accountant for Remont Corporation 20 years. He enjoyed dancing, working on his yard and eating out.

A Rosary and Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 4, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home, 520 Ash Ave W, McAllen, Texas 78501, with visitation from 4 to 9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 9 at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 122 W Hawk Ave, Pharr, TX 78577, at 10 a.m.
