November 4 – Keep McAllen Beautiful (KMB) is hosting its 12th Annual Arbor Day Celebration, at Westside Park, 1000 S. Ware Rd. There is a run, bike, and walk event open from amateur to professional levels. The day begins with a 25-mile 100 kilometer Bike Ride, 5K and 10K Runs, Kids’ 2K Run, and an ongoing Tree Workshop. The overall event features music, educational booths, and more. Free trees will be available for the public. November 4 –The VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System will hold a program for women veterans to find out more about VA women health care services, maternity care, wellness exams, the SERVICE Act, mammography services, pain management, the Whole Health program, and more. The “Sisters in Service” wellness event runs from10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tropical Texas Behavioral Health Conference Center, 2215 W. Business 83, Weslaco. November 4 & December 2 – The Game Changers McTX are preparing for their 10th annual “Operation RGV Cares” event to collect, address and ship care packages and greeting cards to service members deployed during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons. Shipping dates are Nov. 4 for Thanksgiving and Dec. 2 for Christmas packages to arrive on time.
