Granjeno Distributes Laptops to Support Digital Access, Thanks Community Partners
The City of Granjeno is expressing appreciation to residents, partners and volunteers following a successful laptop distribution event aimed at expanding digital access for local families.

City officials said the initiative is part of an ongoing effort to provide technology resources that support education, connectivity and community empowerment.
The city extended special thanks to Dr. Aida Garza Acuña, executive director of the South Texas Literacy Coalition; Karla Rodriguez and Arlene Longoria of the coalition; State Rep. Sergio Muñoz Jr.; Loradel Mariano; Cynthia Pacheco; Mario Barragan, director of external affairs for AT&T; and Roberto Silguero II of AT&T for their support in helping bring the event to the community.
The South Texas Literacy Coalition also provided free books to families during the distribution, further contributing to the event’s educational focus.

City leaders said the event’s success reflects the strength of local partnerships and the community’s shared commitment to improving access to technology and learning tools.
Through continued collaboration, officials said Granjeno remains focused on building a more connected and opportunity‑rich future for its residents.
