Hidalgo County has surpassed the 3,000 mark in testing, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez announced in a Tuesday news release.
A total of 3,196 tests have been administered and 275 results have been positive for the COVID-19 virus. Of the total number of tests given, 3,009 have been administered by private laboratories; 187 have been administered by public laboratories.
3,167 tests have come back negative and 132 results are pending, the county said. An additional 20 people were released from isolation, bringing the total to 79.
