- The Valley Symphony Orchestra closes the Masterworks season with Legacy of Sound. - Scott Roeder, progress of tuba euphonium at UTRGV, will perform in a recital at 3 p.m. at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex, 1201 W University Dr, Edinburg. Admission is free. He will perform standard and new tuba repertoire. He conducts the UTRGV Brass Band and UTRGV Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble. - UTRGV Arts presents the stage production of Mariela in the Desert at 7:30 p.m. in the UTRGV Albert L. Jeffers Theatre, 1201 W. University Dr., Edinburg. - The Valley Symphony Orchestra invites the public to the 2026 Bravo! VSO Gala at 6 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center ballroom, 700 Convention Center Blvd. It offers an evening of fine dining and music with a one-night-only performance by the Valley Symphony Orchestra and Chorale. - The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host Noche De Gala 2026, titled “Arabian Nights,” from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Corinthians Event Center in Mission. The event honors leaders and businesses whose impact has strengthened the Valley’s economic and cultural landscape. Nominations are open and may be submitted online at bit.ly/RGVGalaNominate26. Noche De Gala 2026 will feature a Arabian Nights-themed experience, formal awards presentation, and both live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event support the Chamber’s ongoing initiatives.
