PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Alton will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 5:45 p.m. at the City Hall Legislative Chambers located at 509 S. Alton Boulevard to consider the following request:

VARIANCE REQUEST:

Leonardo Rios Jr., owner, is requesting a variance to allow an accessory structure to exceed the allowed 40% maximum. As per the UDC Chapter 3 – Section 3.5.3 G-3 Limited Uses, all accessory structures over 200 square feet shall comply with the setback standards for the zoning district in which they are located and must not exceed 40% of the total square footage of the main structure; at the legally described property as follows:

Legal Description: LOT 2, JORDAN HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION

Address: 1411 S. TROSPER BLVD.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing or file written support for or opposition to this application by 12:00 noon on May 27, 2026, for Zoning Board of Adjustments. If you will be attending and speaking, please advise the Planning Department before 5:00 p.m.
