• The 20th Annual Empty Bowls event for the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg. Empty Bowls luncheon and silent auction offers an afternoon for guests to sample tastings from more than 35 participating restaurants while supporting the Food Bank. Tickets will be available closer to the event at BertOgdenArena.com. Attendees can select a hand-painted bowl to take home as a reminder of the ongoing need to help ensure every family has access to food.
