OBIT – Estela Cavazos

MISSION – Estela Guerra Cavazos, 81, passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, in McAllen.

Mrs. Cavazos an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Elizondo of Lake Jackson, Amanda Contreras of Mission and Jessica De Leon of Sharyland; brother, Dr. Anselmo Guerra; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mateo Cavazos.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial follows at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
