Ana Maria Rendon
Ana Maria Rendon
December 31, 1970 – March 15, 2024
Mission – Ana Maria Rendon, age 53, quietly departed this life on Friday, March 15, 2024, at her home after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was the youngest of seven children born to Guadalupe and Maria O. Rendon, in McAllen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eduardo Rendon and brother-in-law Leonardo Rivera.
Ana was employed by the Texas Education Agency and worked for the Inspector General of Texas and Health and Human Services before that.
Ana shared hours of fun and laughter with friends and family. She loved like a mother, though she never had children of her own, and treated all the children as such. She filled their stomachs with food and their hearts with love and joy.
Ana enjoyed taking road trips and took the back roads, or what she called the “scenic route” with the purpose of photographing nature and discovering great places to dine. She also took pleasure in cooking and baking for others.
Ana was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who loved to entertain. She was loved by many due to her generous spirit and pleasant personality. She was beautiful, thoughtful, kind, direct, wise and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She loved cats and would willfully pick up strays and have them spayed and neutered; however, Emmie was her pride and joy for twelve years.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters; Eloisa (Pedro) Anzaldua, Felix Rendon, Manuel Rendon, Maricela (Leonardo+) Rivera and Plutarco (Kim) Rendon; eighteen nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, several cousins, and her cat Emmie.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ric Brown Family Funeral Home.
The Receiving of Friends has been scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 3-9 p.m. at 621 E Griffin Pkwy in Mission, Texas. A 6 p.m. Rosary and Memorial Service is scheduled for the same day.

Miss You Anna. Thank You for all the times you gave breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
