PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Alton will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Decemver 10, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall Legislative Chambers located at 509 S. Alton Boulevard to consider the following request:

REZONE REQUEST:

Melden & Hunt, Inc on behalf of Mr. Ricardo S. & Mrs. Isabel C. Fuentes, (Owners) is requesting to Rezone a Tract of land at 711 N. Shary Rd from “R-2” (Single-Family Residential – Large Lot) District to “RT-3” (Single Family Residential-Townhouse Lot) District as legally described as follows;

Tract I: Being 9.784-Acre tract, more or less, out of Lot 394, John H. Shary Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas, map reference Volume 1, Page 17, Map Records, Hidalgo County, Texas.

REZONE REQUEST:

MAS Engineerings, LLC on behalf of MS Beverage, LLC – Victor Almaguer, (Owner) is requesting to Rezone a Tract of land at 1702 E. St. Jude Ave from “MH” (Manufactured Home) District to “MF-1” (Multi-Family – Low Density) District as legally described as follows;

Tract I: Being 4.751-Acre tract, more or less, being the West 261.65’ out of Lot 44-11, West Addition to Sharyland Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas, map reference Volume 1, Page 56, Map Records, Hidalgo County, Texas.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing or file written support for or opposition to this application by 12:00 noon on December 10, 2024, for the Planning and Zoning and the City Commission. If you will be attending and speaking, advise the Planning Department before 5:00 p.m..
