PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Alton will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall Legislative Chambers located at 509 S. Alton Boulevard to consider the following request:

REZONE REQUEST:

Jean Mendoza Pogan on behalf of Mendoza Schulz Design and Construction LLC, owner, is requesting to Rezone a Tract at 624 W. Saint Jude Avenue, from “MF-1” (Multi-Family – Low Density) District to “R-1” (Single Family Residential – Large Lot) District as legally described as follows;

Tract: Being a 1.00 acre tract of land, more or less, out of Lot 44-5, West Addition to Sharyland Subdivision recorded in Volume 1, Page 56, Map Records, Hidalgo County, Texas.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing or file written support for or opposition to this application by 12:00 noon on August 26, 2025, for the Planning and Zoning and the City Commission. If you will be attending and speaking, advise the Planning Department before 5:00 p.m.
