PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Alton will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall Legislative Chambers located at 509 S. Alton Boulevard to consider the following request:

REZONE REQUEST:

Primera Land LLC, owner, is requesting to designate a zone to a Tract at 719 S. Mayberry Blvd. to “R-2” (Single Family – Standard Lot) District as legally described as follows;

Tract: Being a 8.004 acre tract of land, more or less, out of Lot 39-8, West Addition to Sharyland Subdivision recorded in Volume 1, Page 56, Map Records, Hidalgo County, Texas.

REZONE REQUEST:

Texas Grey Oaks LLC, buyer, is requesting to rezone Tracts at 305 W. Main Avenue from “C-2” (General Commercial) District to “MF-2” (Multi-Family – High Density) District as legally described as follows;

Tract: All of Lot 1 and Lot 3, Block 2 and 2.60 acres out of Lot 1, Block 3, of the Second Amended Plat of Junior’s Alton Subdivision, Hidalgo County, Texas, according to the plat filed under Clerk’s File Number 2401709.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing or file written support for or opposition to this application by 12:00 noon on January 27, 2026, for the Planning and Zoning and the City Commission. If you will be attending and speaking, advise the Planning Department before 5:00 p.m.
